You Call or Text
Give me your name, your town, and roughly what the yard needs. A text is usually the easiest way to reach me, and a photo helps if you have one.

I Come and Look
We walk the yard together so I can see the actual beds, the actual shrubs, the actual pile of leaves. I would rather see it than guess from a description.

I Tell You What It Would Cost
What I would do, how long I think it takes, and the price. Also anything I cannot do — no tree work, and I cannot haul debris away — so you hear it before you decide, not after.

You Decide
If you want it done, we pick a day. If you would rather not, that is fine and the visit cost you nothing. There is nothing to sign either way.

I answer my own phone, and I am the one who comes out to look. There is no form here on purpose — a call or a text gets straight to me.
What to mention
Your name, which town you are in, and which service you are after — weeding, mulching, pruning, watering, a yard cleanup, or one of the seasonal jobs. That is enough for me to arrange a time to come and look. A photo of the yard is welcome but not needed.

The things people ask me most. If yours is not here, just ask when you call or text — I would rather answer it up front than have you wonder.
Is the estimate really free?
Yes. I come out, walk the yard with you, and tell you what the job would involve and what it would cost. There is no charge for that and no obligation to book anything.
Who actually turns up?
Me. Tom’s Yard Services is one person — I give the estimate and I do the work. There is no crew and no one else I hand the job to.
How quickly will I hear back?
I am at school on weekdays, so I answer in the evenings and at weekends. If you need an answer quickly, texting (484) 678-1500 is faster than calling.
Do you mow lawns?
No. I do not have a mower, so lawn cutting is not something I can take on. What I do is the bed work — weeding, mulching, pruning, watering and cleanups.
What happens to the weeds, leaves and clippings?
I bag everything and stack it wherever you want it for township or borough pickup. I do not have a truck, so I cannot haul debris off your property. Worth knowing before you book if there is a lot of it.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because a bed that has been kept up and one that has not are completely different amounts of work. You will hear the number before I start, and it will not change unless the job turns out to be bigger than it looked — in which case I come back to you rather than adding it to the bill.
Do you take small jobs?
Yes, and they are most of what I do. One overgrown bed by the front door is a perfectly normal job to call about.
What if I am just outside your service area?
Ask anyway. I list Chester Springs, Exton, Lionville, Lyndell and Downingtown because those are the ones I can reliably get to. If you are close to that edge I will tell you straight rather than taking the job and hoping.
What should I tell you when I get in touch?
Your town, which jobs you are thinking about, and a sentence about what is bothering you. Photos of the yard help more than anything else — you can text those.
